About Crossbow

We are a family business, started in 1992 by Bob Hext, who was finding that the resources he devised to teach his dyslexic students were more effective than many of the published materials available at the time.

Since we patented the Eye Level Reading Ruler in 2005 Crossbow has become the UK brand leader for visual stress products, with reading rulers and/or overlays in over 50% of the schools and colleges in the country.

Having commanded the educational sector with our specialised products, we are now taking our expertise to the corporate market to assist with employees and management who could benefit from them in their daily working life. Just as dyslexia and visual stress can be barriers to learning at school and college, they can be barriers to achievement and job satisfation in adult life. We believe that the selection of assistive products we offer here, alongside the information we have made available, can make a significant difference to many employees and the organsations they work for.
